Large New Zealand greenstone koru

Absolutely beautiful 47mm double koru mainly kawa kawa pounamu with a wee touch of marsden flower at the bottom.

The koru is a symbol of new life, growth, peace and strength and imitates an unfurling fern frond.

Marsden Flower Greenstone comes from the Marsden area of the West Coast of New Zealand. The gold coloured variegation in the piece is called "flower" and makes this type of greenstone particularly valued and distinctive.
